The register rules
Terms of Service
Effective 8 September 2026
Using born.live
By using born.live, you agree to these terms. You must be legally able to enter into a contract and provide accurate information when a payment or payout provider requests it. Do not use the service for fraud, impersonation, harassment, unlawful trade, or interference with the register.
Your number and profile
A born.live number is a record and profile within this service. It is not a government identity, security, investment, cryptocurrency, or guarantee of value. Keep access to your linked email, Apple Account, or Google Account secure. You are responsible for the profile content and links you publish.
Purchases and gifts
Prices and any applicable fees are shown before you confirm payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. A gift link is a one-time bearer link: anyone who receives it may redeem the number, so send it privately. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Marketplace sales and payouts
You may list an eligible number at the permitted price or receive a private offer on an owned number. An offer expires after 48 hours and does not charge the buyer. If the owner accepts, only that buyer can open payment checkout. When a buyer pays, the number is locked while the seller completes Stripe onboarding. The marketplace fee is 10% of the sale price, with a minimum fee of $5. The exact fee and seller proceeds are displayed before acceptance and during the sale. Payouts depend on successful identity checks, Stripe eligibility, charge settlement, and our fraud and refund controls.
One number is active on your profile at a time, and you may hold at most one additional paid number in your Vault. Before replacing a paid active number, you must list it on the marketplace; it then moves into the Vault and must remain listed until it sells. If that Vault slot is already occupied, you may only replace another paid active number after explicitly accepting that the active number will be surrendered without compensation and returned to the run. Free numbers may return to the run when replaced. Marketplace transfers preserve the ownership history of every number.
Listings or transactions may be paused, cancelled, or refunded if onboarding is not completed in time, payment is disputed, the listing is inaccurate, or we reasonably suspect abuse.
Provenance and transfers
Transfers and completed sales may become part of the number’s permanent activity history. Public activity can show event type, time, price, and a public owner name where that owner has chosen a public profile. Private account details are not shown.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep born.live available and accurate, but the service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. We may change features, fees, eligibility rules, or these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, born.live is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, loss caused by another user, or loss caused by sharing access credentials or gift links. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
